Free Wi-Fi in public areas was decent, but the room had cleanliness issues.

The room I stayed in had a convenient layout with good access to plug-ins beside the bed, making it easy to charge devices. The air conditioning worked like a champ, keeping the space nice and cool. However, the experience was marred by significant cleanliness issues. I found stains on the walls and noticed unclean linens, which really brought the overall feel down. I also struggled with check-in, where staff seemed overwhelmed, contributing to a frustrating start. Despite the decent layout, the lack of attention to cleanliness and slow service made it hard to fully enjoy my time here.

The staff was friendly and responsive to inquiries.
My experience at the Clarion Pointe in Decatur was far from pleasant. Upon checking in, I was disheartened to find that the lobby was cluttered with boxes, making it feel more like a storage area than a welcoming hotel. Furthermore, the cleanliness of my room was underwhelming. I noticed stains on the walls and a general lack of upkeep that made me feel uneasy. It's disappointing to see that despite being advertised as ready for guests, the hotel fell short in crucial areas.

If you’re into grilled seafood, Fite Waterfront Dining is a must-try nearby! The chill vibe and delectable dishes, with a side of fresh air, had me hooked. Plus, scooting over to Waffle House for a midnight snack was just too easy—made for the ultimate late-night feast! Bonus points for affordable rates and super cold AC in my room.
However, I ran into some frustrating vibes with the front desk. They promised a $50 deposit but slapped me with $150 instead. It left a sour note seeing as I just wanted to savor my stay. They even kicked us out claiming smoke issues, which felt totally uncalled for.

Room was clean and liked the plug-ins beside the bed. Plus, Hardee's is just next door, which made grabbing a bite super easy!
For us it was ideal.

missingWrote a review on Oct 13poor toilet
Toilet flushed poorly, requiring multiple attempts. One thin blanket on a king bed left me feeling chilly during my stay, especially with temperatures dropping to 30 degrees outside. The TV didn’t work at all, and the layout of the parking was quite tight, making navigation tricky for larger vehicles.

The room had a convenient layout, making it easy for the family to settle in. However, significant cleanliness issues marred the experience, with peeling paint, visible mold, and burn holes in the bedding. The exterior grounds were unkempt, and check-in felt unwelcoming due to security measures like bulletproof glass. On a positive note, local pastries recommended by staff added a nice touch to breakfast, even though overall dining options were limited.

comfortable stay but with minor issues
The room had a pleasant layout, making it easy for my family to relax. We appreciated the proximity to a great seafood restaurant nearby. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, providing a refreshing relief from the outside heat. Additionally, I found access to a Waffle House conveniently located for late-night snacks, which added fun to our trip.
Check-in took longer than expected due to a few hiccups with the front desk staff.

Room for Improvement on Cleanliness and Management
My recent stay was quite disappointing. The room had evident cleanliness issues, including holes in the walls and unclean linens, which really detracted from the experience. I also faced challenges at check-in with an unprofessional attitude that made the process frustrating. A straightforward issue turned complex due to poor communication at the front desk. Improvements in these areas could make a huge difference.
